Food Standard

Food standard is any reference to the composition, quality or other properties that is prescribed with respect to that food as stipulated in the Food Regulations 1985.

Food standards are important to define the quality of the foodstuff to protect consumers against unscrupulous food manufacturers in the preparation and use of food.

Food Chemistry Division provides analysis that covers all the food standards as stipulated under the Food Regulation 1985.
