Study Tour by members of Laboratory Staff Council (MASMA), District of Muar and Ledang, Johore to Department of Chemistry, Melaka Branch

A group comprising of 102 members from the Laboratory Staff Council (MASMA) working in secondary schools in the District of Muar and Ledang, Johore made a study tour to the Department of Chemistry, Melaka Branch over a three days period. They were divided into 3 groups, with the first group of 34 members making the visit on 28/05/2012, the second group comprising of 39 members making their appearance on 29/05/2012, followed by the last group of 29 members on 30/05/2012. These Laboratory Assistants ranges from service grade C17, C22 to C26 serving in the District of Muar and Ledang, Johore. 

The study tour programme started daily from 9.00 am and ended at 1.00 pm. The programme comprised of:

1.    Safety Briefing

2.    Video presentation on the function of the Department

3.    Briefing on the Implementation of the Safety and Health Management System at Department of Chemistry, Melaka Branch by Mr. Soupy Bin Daud

4.    Briefing on Safe Working in Laboratory by Madam Rozieyati Bt. Abdullah

5.    Visit to the laboratories 

The visitors expressed satisfaction over the programme itinerary. It is hoped that knowledge and insight gained through this visit will be put to good use in their workplace.
