Penglibatan Jabatan Kimia Malaysia dalam misi Bantuan Banjir PDF Print E-mail

Jabatan Kimia Malaysia telah bersama-sama dalam berusaha membantu rakyat Malaysia yang ditimpa musibah banjir yang melanda beberapa negeri pada akhir Disember 2014. Usaha ini bermula seawal 25 Disember 2014 iaitu dengan pengumpulan barangan seperti makanan, peralatan dapur dan pakaian. Selain itu, Hebahan mengenai bantuan banjir juga dibuat melalui laman jaringan, untuk membuka ruang warga Kimia memberikan sumbangan. Barangan ini telah diserahkan kepada kumpulan sukarelawan (salah seorangnya adalah warga Kimia) yang pergi Kuala Krai, Kelantan untuk diagihkan kepada mereka yang memerlukan.

Usaha berunsur keagamaan juga turut dibuat dengan mengadakan solat hajat dan doa pada 26 Disember 2014. Kutipan sumbangan bagi meringankan beban mangsa banjir juga telah diedarkan semasa majlis solat hajat tersebut. Kutipan ini akan diserahkan kepada warga Kimia cawangan yang terkesan secara langsung dengan musibah banjir ini.

Barangan untuk dihantar ke Kuala Krai, Kelantan

Sebagai agensi di bawah MOSTI, Jabatan Kimia Malaysia juga telah turut serta dengan inisiatif MOSTI dalam misi pasca banjir iaitu Misi Gentech Ops Banjir di Pekan dan Temerloh, Pahang. Penglibatan sukarelawan warga Kimia di kedua-dua tempat ini ialah menjalankan kerja pembersihan bangunan seperti rumah, sekolah dan dewan serbaguna. Kerja-kerja pembersihan yang melibatkan sukarelawan Warga Kimia berlangsung pada 7, 10,11, 14 dan 15 Januari.

Selain itu, menerusi program MOSTI juga, Jabatan Kimia Malaysia turut  menyumbang sebanyak 50 set peralatan dapur seperti dapur gas, sudip, periuk dan kuali. Sumbangan barangan ini telah diagihkan semasa Misi Gentech Ops Banjir di Pekan pada 15 Januari 2015.

Kuala Lumpur, December 17th, 2014 - Department of Chemistry, organised the Appreciation Ceremony at Sime Darby Convention Centre. The event was offciated by Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Datuk Dr. Ewon Ebin, in the presence of ministry’s top management, YBhg. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Azhar bin Haji Yahaya, Deputy Secretary General (Policy) and YBrs. Dr. Zulkifli bin Mohamed Hashim, Deputy Secretary General (Science).

The Appreciation Ceremony was held to acknowledge and recognise the staff’s active and outstanding contribution as well as to boost their spirit in continuing the excellence of enhancing the quality of department’s service delivery. Besides that, the ceremony also pours an honour of celebration to the retirees of 2014.

The Director General of Department of Chemistry, YBhg. Dato’ Ahmad Ridzuan bin Ibrahim, in his opening speech, had expressed his acknowledgement towards the dedication and contribution of all the retirees of 2014. YBhg. Dato’ also conveyed his congratulation message to all the awards recipient and hope that the awards will further motivate the staff towards enhancing their potentials, thus driving the excellence of the department service delivery.

Meanwhile, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Datuk Dr. Ewon Ebin said that the initiative of holding such event was laudable. It was a form of appreciation and acknowledgement from the organisation to the staff for being the main backbone in making realize the service aspirations as well as improving the client charter. YB Datuk also conveyed his hope to foresee Department of Chemistry as an excel and ultimate Government Agency in providing scientific analytical service to the public, despite helping the nation economic growth in years to come.

Altogether, there were 11 officers who had been honoured in conjunction with their retirement in 2014. The list included the Director General of Department of Chemistry, YBhg. Dato’ Ahmad Ridzuan bin Ibrahim. Besides that, there were 11 categories of awards and recognitions made announced at the ceremony. The awards and recognition were delivered by the guest of honour; Deputy Secretary General (Policy) and Deputy Secretary General (Science) of MOSTI and Director General of Department of Chemistry

Official Visit Of The Director General Of The Department Of Chemistry, Malaysia To Department Of Chemistry, Tawau Branch PDF Print E-mail

At 16th Disember 2014, The Director General of Chemistry Department of Malaysia (JKM), YBhg. Dato’ Ahmad Ridzuan Bin Ibrahimwas holding his official visit at the Chemistry Department of Malaysia Tawau Branch (JKMC Tawau) accompanied byMs Ong Jeok Chin, Director of Chemistry Department of Malaysia Sabah Branch (JKMC Sabah) and Mr Abdul Razak Bin Mohd Iman, Branch Head of Chemistry Department of Malaysia Tawau Branch (JKMC Tawau). Together attend for this visit was Dr. Ahmad Kamil bin Mohd Jaafar, Research and Development Center’s Manager of Tawau Cocoa, Malaysian Cocoa Board. Along with his official visit, two (2) Dialogue Ceremony sessions were been conducted which are dialog with JKMC Tawau’s client in the morning and at the everning the dialog was held together with staff from JKMC Tawau.

Incooperation with Malaysian Cocoa Board, Tawau. Dialogue with Client Ceremony was held at Auditorium  Reserach and Developement Centre of Tawau Cocoa, Malaysian Cocoa Board. The purpose of this Dialogue Ceremony is to ensure that the service given by JKMC Tawau has meet customer need, especially for customer around East Coast of Sabah which cover area of Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Semporna.

This Dialogue Ceremony was attended by 33 peoples, representative from various of government’s departments and agencies consist of  Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ), Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia (KDRM), Agensi Penguatkuasa Maritim Malaysia (APMM), Jabatan Alam Sekitar (JAS), Lembaga Minyak Sawit Malaysia (MPOB), Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri, Koperasi dan Kepenggunaan (KPDNKK). This ceremony was also attended by a part of staff from Malaysian Cocoa Board, Tawau.

In the everning session, another dialog was held betweenYBhg. Dato’ Ahmad Ridzuan Bin Ibrahim together with JKMC Tawau’s staff before he heading back to Peninsular.
