Function

1.      Identification of phytoplankton and zooplankton in fresh and seawater.

2.       Examination for the presence of biological contaminants in food products, such as insects and hair, for the enforcement of Food Regulations 1985 and Food Act 1983.

3.       Assist other Department of Chemistry Malaysia laboratories in biological analysis if needed.
