Hot Work Inspection Inspection of petroleum tankers, bulk carriers and cargo ships before “hot work” repairs at dry dock or petroleum anchorage to ensure that they are free of flammable gases as well as the issuance of “hot work” permit under Regulation 33 & 34 of the Petroleum (Safety Measures) (Transportation of Petroleum By Water) Regulation 1985.
Men-To-Enter Inspection
Ensuring cargo holds, cofferdam or other enclosed spaces are free from toxic gases so that they are suitable and safe for men-to-enter. Application For Inspection Formal written application should be made giving details such as name of the ship, its gross tonnage, exact time of arrival, last cargo carried, time and place of inspection etc. Application letter can be sent by fax and to be reconfirmed by telephone.
