Kuala Terengganu – Jabatan Kimia Malaysia Cawangan Terengganu telah menerima satu lawatan pada 28/01/2016 daripada Pusat Pengajian Sains Kesihatan, PTPL Terengganu. Lawatan ini terdiri daripada 3 orang pensyarah dan 30 orang pelajar dari pelbagai tahun pengajian dalam bidang Diploma Teknologi Makmal Perubatan. Tujuan lawatan ini adalah untuk mendedahkan pelajar kepada pelbagai cabang analisis yang disediakan oleh pihak Jabatan Kimia Malaysia Cawangan Terengganu khususnya. Selain itu, lawatan ini juga bertujuan untuk memupuk minat para pelajar dalam bidang ilmu sains disamping dapat mengembangkan idea dan informasi mengenai subjek yang dipelajari di pusat pengajian.

Lawatan Kerja Tuan Ketua Pengarah Ke JKMC Terengganu

Kuala Terengganu – YBrs. Tuan Haji Ismail bin Talib, Ketua Pengarah Kimia Malaysia, telah mengadakan lawatan kerja ke Jabatan Kimia Malaysia, Cawangan Terengganu (JKMC Terengganu) pada 26 Januari 2016. Ianya merupakan lawatan rasmi kedua beliau ke cawangan Kimia Malaysia pada tahun ini selepas lawatan kerja ke JKMC Pahang. Ketibaan beliau pada jam 8.15 pagi  telah disambut meriah oleh Pengarah JKMC Terengganu, En. Mazlan b. Yusof serta pegawai-pegawai dan kakitangan jabatan.

Tujuan lawatan kerja ke JKMC Terengganu adalah untuk menghadiri ke mesyuarat tapak projek pembinaan bangunan baru JKMC Terengganu di Kubang Parit, Kuala Terengganu bersama pihak Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) dan pihak kontraktor, serta untuk melihat sendiri perkembangan semasa projek serta membincangkan isu-isu berbangkit.

Selepas selesai mesyuarat tersebut, Tuan Ketua Pengarah Kimiatelah datang semula JKMC Terengganu untuk majlis  sesi dialog bersama kakitangan JKMC Terengganu dan seterusnya menyampaikan watikah kepada beberapa orang kakitangan yang telah dinaikkan pangkat dan juga bersara.Pada sesi tersebut juga, Tuan KP juga telah menyampaikan amanat beliau, kata-kata nasihat kepada kakitangan serta perkembangan terkini Jabatan Kimia Malaysia yang berlaku di Ibu pejabat dan cawangan-cawangan lain. Dalam sesi tersebut beliau juga telah mendengar dan membincangkan isu-isu yang dibangkitkan oleh kakitangan JKMC Terengganu.

Exhibition at Dataran Sibu in conjunction with ‘Sejiwa Senada 2016, Kerajaan Bersama Rakyat’ programme initiated by Sarawak State Government from 15 to 17 January 2016

Chemistry Department of Sibu Branch joined ‘Sejiwa Senada  Kerajaan erama Rakyat’ programme initiated by Sarawak State Government from 15 to 17 January 2016 ( Friday to Sunday). Various activities such as exhibition, entertainment, games and e-competition had been carried out within the three-day programme and Sibu branch joined the exhibition to introduce Sib’pbi to emitry epartment. ibition ad been arried ot rom pm to  pm on Friday, 8 am to 10 pm on Saturday and 8 am to 6 pm on Sunday.  The objectives of the exhibition are stated as below:

  • Information sharing between Chemistry Department with Sibu' public concerning dangerous drug and food safety
  • Introduce the role Chemistry Department as technical agency that provide analytical services to Sibu' public


Exhibition had been visited by 719 visitors. The exhibition had been successful in term of giving correct information to the public regarding chemicals safety especially in food and household product and improving relationship between Chemistry Department with public.
